About Us.

Breaking 100 tells unique, informative and entertaining golf and regional histories found within the places we live and vacation. We began by merging the shared passions of two friends; Rick Parnham and Bryan Davies. Our combined love of sports, conversation, relationships, and communities, wrap nicely around the telling of a good tale. Breaking 100 allows us to combine our golfing exploits with our creative abilities as storytellers.

The Founders.

Rick Parnham

Rick is a veteran Canadian golf journalist. He has a long affiliation with On The Tee magazine as Associate Editor and Travel Writer. That work and his tenure as a member of the rating panel for a major industry publication has allowed Rick to play and review in excess of 500 North American courses. When not on the links, Rick will likely be found officiating a basketball game, savoring a craft brew or enjoying a Buffalo Bills victory.

Bryan Davies

A criminal trial lawyer by initial vocation, Bryan’s published work spans military history, political commentary, sport, and true crime. With co-author Andrew Traficante, Bryan wrote ‘A Boy from Botwood’, a Canadian WWI history best-seller. Bryan is a partner in Sault Ste. Marie’s UFE Tagona Press, an independent publishing house. A keen, but often spectacularly unsuccessful golfer, Bryan lives in the Sault and enjoys kayaking the Lake Superior shoreline.

Breaking 100 - Supporting Communities.

Each of our Breaking 100 book projects partners with a local charitable cause which benefits from a portion of our book sales. We are committed to making a difference in the communities that are the focus of our books and storytelling.

Our Partners

Breaking 100 wishes to thank our brand partners for their support and the commitment to helping make golf a better experience for everyone.
